The 2026 season will be my 3rd year as head coach of the Newport Harbor Softball program. It is my sincere desire to offer the best imaginable experience for our players/families. I want to build this program into something the community can point to with pride – and I believe we are well on our way! Married in 1999, my wife, Crystal, and I have two boys: Braden (25) and Gavin (20)

Coach Romero is a familiar name on the club softball circuit. This summer, he captained the 14U Athletics Mercado 2K11-Romero team to the Platinum National Championship. Coach Romero is an elite trainer of interior defense. Plan to see the Sailors’ infield take big strides with Coach Romero’s involvement.

His son, Josh, was the 2019 Gatorade California Bas
Coach Hahn is returning for his second season with the Sailors. Coach Hahn is a positive influence within the culture of our program. He teaches competitiveness while having fun and bringing light to all team activities. Coach Hahn’s children graduated from Huntington Beach High School. His son, Josh, was the 2019 Gatorade California Baseball Player of the Year. He went on to star at UCLA and Notre Dame.
